On behalf of the Regional Cooperation Council, DLR Projektträger has conceptualised and drafted the trend study "Unleashing the Potential for Competitiveness: Trends in the Western Balkans". The study identifies and analyses trends and their implications for the region's competitiveness until 2035.

The DLR Projektträger is supporting the further development of European science diplomacy on behalf of the European Commission. The starting signal for this was given at the "First European Conference on Science Diplomacy", which took place on 18 and 19 December 2023 under the Spanish EU Council Presidency in Madrid and online.

On 15 November 2023, the Federal Cabinet adopted the National Action Plan for the European Research Area. With this plan, the Federal Government is determining the course of its EU research and innovation policy for the coming years. The DLR Projektträger played an active role in the development of the action plan.

Establishing scientific excellence in all EU countries - that is the goal of the "Widening" action program. At the seventh Brussels: FutureTalks on November 20, 2023, experts will discuss what role the program can play in the individual innovation ecosystems in Central and Eastern European countries.

The Brussels Future Talks series organised by the Brussels Representative Office of the DLR Projektträger is going into the next round: On 20 September 2023, experts and stakeholders from the field will discuss the topic "EU Missions Assessment: European Perspectives in Exchange with Experiences from Austria and Germany".

The G20 Summit ended in Bali on the 16^th November 2022. The preceding ministerial meetings on education, research and innovation focused, among other things, on the post-COVID-19 world of work and on digital learning technologies.
