G20 Summit: Focus on education, research and innovation
The G20 Summit ended in Bali on the 16th November 2022. The preceding ministerial meetings on education, research and innovation focused, among other things, on the post-COVID-19 world of work and on digital learning technologies. DLR Projektträger provided intensive support for the BMBF's participation.

Urban diplomacy – What role do cities play in the diplomatic arena?
The topic of urban diplomacy was on the agenda at the "Brussels: FutureTalks" in early November. In the workshop "Cities as Partners & Innovators in Diplomacy?", 30 high-calibre experts discussed the increasingly important role that cities are playing, especially in diplomatic terms, given the rapid urbanisation worldwide.

Strengthening teachers' digital skills
The programme Competence Centres for Digital and Digitally Supported Teaching in Schools and Further Education supports teachers in strengthening their digital skills and in using digital tools in a didactically and pedagogically meaningful way. The Education Ministry has commissioned DLR Projektträger with the project management.

In Horizon Europe, the world's most financially powerful research and innovation funding programme, thinking about gender differences ("gender dimensions") in a project from the very beginning is mandatory. But what does that mean in concrete terms? DLR Projektträger advises applicants with an eight-part workshop series on various research fields.

12th Transfer Workshop – Meeting of the German Transfer Community in Berlin
Transfer experts from Germany will meet on the 17th and 18th November at the 12th Transferwerkstatt in Berlin, hosted by DLR Projektträger. The event is part of the project management of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) funding line "Innovation Orientation of Research".

Event: Regional Conference – The Smart City Strategy becomes a reality
Knowledge transfer between the Model Projects Smart Cities (MPSC) and all municipalities interested in the topic of smart cities will enter the next round on the 22nd November. The regional conference for northern Germany is organised by the Coordination and Transfer Office for Smart Cities Model Projects (KTS), which is part of DLR Projektträger.

Launch of EMiN network – bringing "EU missions" together for success
The EU has set itself ambitious goals with its "missions" in order to master current challenges such as climate change. To ensure that this succeeds in all EU Member States, the "European Missions Network"(EMiN) is being set up under the leadership of DLR Projektträger. The kick-off took place in Brussels on the 19th October.

Quantum computing can make a substantial contribution to solving current problems – this was demonstrated at this year's "Futuras in Res" conference: The Quantum Breakthrough. DLR Projektträger, whose staff contributed their expertise at the event, has its finger on the pulse of research with its software-focused funding topics.
