8th November 2022 — The one-day attendance event is to focus on the implementation of measures developed in smart city strategy processes and networking in the region. The "Smart Border Region between the Seas", in which the city of Flensburg and the two districts of Nordfriesland and Schleswig-Flensburg have joined forces, as well as other Federally funded Smart Cities model projects will provide insights into their ventures and how they have already implemented initial Smart City measures. The model projects Smarte Kiel Region, Lübeck and Amt Süderbrarup are also involved in the programme. Among other things, the following questions will be addressed: How can joint projects be established in regional networks? How can the Smart City be made tangible for local people?

The Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB), in cooperation with the host "Smart Border Region between the Seas", cordially invites all northern German municipalities and those interested in exchange. The event has been organised by the Coordination and Transfer Office for Model Projects Smart Cities (KTS), which is based at DLR Projektträger.
