The DLR Projektträger is thematically broadly positioned and at the same time has specialist expertise at its disposal: the employees of the Education, Gender Division offer scientific expertise and thematic competence across all education sectors - from early childhood support through vocational, general and higher education to lifelong learning. In doing so, we take formal educational opportunities as well as non-formal and informal learning environments into account. Experts from disciplines such as education, psychology, sociology, economics, linguistics and communication sciences work for DLR Projektträger's Education, Gender division. We have particular expertise at the interface of Federal and State responsibilities in the German federal system.

Impulses for the funding topics of tomorrow

We advise and support our clients with scientific expertise in research and innovation programmes on education and equal opportunities. We identify relevant research and funding needs, design funding priorities and contribute our interdisciplinary thematic expertise to the development of funding announcements. In addition, we produce analyses, studies and evaluations in the context of educational and social research. Through events and public relations work, we network relevant actors, contribute to the dissemination of results in science and support their transfer into practice. We are currently implementing various initiatives and programmes of ministries at Federal and State level as well as foundations. Event: Brussels FutureTalks on vocational education and training in Europe

On 12 March, the DLR Projektträger "Brussels FutureTalks" will enter the next round. The event "Vocational Education and Training in Europe: Shaping a More Inclusive Future" will bring together experts from (vocational) education and training, politics, networks and the economic and social partners in the European Year of Skills.

Germany has an Open Educational Resources (OER) strategy

On the 29th July, Dr Jens Brandenburg, Parliamentary State Secretary of Federal Ministry of Education and Research (the BMBF), presented the OER strategy in Frankfurt. Over the next few years, Open Educational Resources are to be systematically expanded and promoted. DLR Projektträger was significantly involved in the development of the strategy.
