Consulting for successful technology transfer
For ministries, funding agencies and research projects: Our consultancy and coaching services ensure that the outcomes of funded research do not remain in reports, but reach the market as innovative products.
What we offer – a brief overview
How do you turn research into real-world applications? How does an ecosystem emerge which allows scientists to further develop their research results into market innovations? This is exactly where DLR Projektträger’s consulting and coaching services come in.
On behalf of ministries and funding agencies, we support funded projects in developing viable transfer strategies – methodologically sound, structured in thematic modules, and focused on impact and sustainability. And not just in Germany, but worldwide.
Our clients benefit from our in-depth understanding of their project results, our neutral role as a methodologically strong innovation partner and our broad network of national and international stakeholders. We connect science, business and politics to create real impact – from the initial idea through to transfer into the market.

Our consulting modules
Analysing your needs (optionally upstream):
We clarify jointly your starting point: Through exploratory discussions or surveys, we determine together the current status of your project.
Module 1: Developing your vision
In an interactive workshop, we develop jointly a vision, define specific goals, create profiles of future users and a possible target group, and establish an overview of the full supporting innovation ecosystem.
Module 2: Designing your transfer strategy
Based on the previous results, we draw up a concrete plan in an interactive workshop (optionally virtual). Together, we allocate various roles within the business ecosystem, plan processes and define how different stakeholders interact within an initial business model.
Module 3: Developing value proposition & prototypes
During this interactive workshop, we work with you to develop marketable products or service prototypes and evaluate their application through customer surveys and interviews.
Module 4: Ensuring continuity & setting up a monitoring process
Together, we look at the next steps: We lay the groundworks for continuous monitoring, identify additional funding options and explore further development opportunities – tailored to your needs.
